SELECTING THE PROPER MAINTENANCE SCHEDULERegular maintenance intervals are recommended to ensure performance, fuel economy, and reliability. Proper maintenance not only aids performance, it's great way to protect your investment.
If you experience any of the following, the Severe Maintenance schedule is for you. If not, follow the Regular Maintenance schedule.
  • 50% of driving is done in heavy city traffic during hot weather.
  • Extensive idling and/or low speed operations (stop-and-go traffic).
  • Extended use of brakes while driving (stop-and-go traffic).
  • Repeated short trips with engine not fully warmed up, especially in freezing temperatures.
  • Dusty, rough, muddy, sandy, or salt-spread roads.
  • Vehicle is used for towing.

  • If you only experience these conditions on occasion, you should modify your maintenance schedule during those high vehicle stress times.
